Frequently asked questions
Is the pixel art editor really free?
Yes. All tools and exports are free, with no subscription, no signup and no watermark.
Can I animate sprites?
Yes. Add frames on the timeline, reorder them, preview the animation and export it as a GIF or a spritesheet.
What can I export?
PNG images (scaled up to 20×), animated GIFs and spritesheets. You can also save a Pixforge project file with all layers and frames.
Does Pixforge use AI?
No. Pixforge converts images with deterministic algorithms (the same image and settings always give the same result), and every tool in the editor is manual. It is an independent project by TZK Studio and is not affiliated with AI image generators or other products with a similar name.
